Travelling With An Attendant

Travelling With An Attendant

We’re committed to making air travel accessible and comfortable for all travellers. If you require an attendant to travel with you, we offer a 50% discount on the attendant’s base fare, subject to availability. Taxes, fees, and surcharges are not included in the discount.

To arrange travel with an attendant, please provide a physician’s note confirming that an attendant is required and contact our Reservations team at least 48 hours before departure.

When An Attendant May Be Required

In some situations, Air North may require a traveller with a disability to travel with an attendant. This may apply when a traveller;

  • Is unable to meet their personal needs during the flight or requires assistance beyond what our employees can reasonably provide,
  • Is unable to understand or respond to safety instructions due to a cognitive or intellectual disability,
  • Has significant hearing and vision impairments that make communication and safety briefings difficult,
  • Has a severe mobility limitation that would prevent them from assisting in their own evacuation or using an oxygen mask in an emergency.

When Air North determines that an attendant is required for travel, the attendant will travel free of charge.

Additional Seating Requirements

If you require additional seating to accommodate a disability, you will only be charged for one seat, regardless of the number of seats required.

If you have questions about travelling with an attendant or would like to discuss your travel needs, our team is always happy to help.
