Pregnancy, Infants & Children
Some of life’s most important journeys are shared with family. Whether you’re preparing to welcome a new arrival, travelling with your little one, or sending a child off on an adventure of their own, we’re proud to be part of the journey.
Below you’ll find information and resources to help make travelling with children and infants, or during pregnancy, as comfortable and stress-free as possible. We look forward to welcoming you on board!

Unnacompanied Minors (UM)
When children travel on their own, we know that can be a big step for both young travellers and their families. Our team is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive experience from check-in through to arrival, giving parents and guardians peace of mind every step of the way.
Available for children aged five (5) to 17, our Unaccompanied Minor service includes assistance throughout the airport experience and on board, from check-in and boarding to arrival and handoff to the designated guardian. Our team is here to help make independent travel a positive and memorable experience.
To book travel for an Unaccompanied Minor, please contact our Reservations team at 1.800.661.0407 (toll-free in North America) or (867) 668.2228.
Here, you’ll find information to frequently asked questions about eligibility, booking requirements, fees, and what to expect when using the Unaccompanied Minor service with Air North.

Travelling With An Infant
We know that travelling with an infant can feel like a big adventure! Whether you’re introducing your little one to family, heading out on a well-deserved getaway, or travelling for an important occasion, our team is here to help make your journey as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
To help you prepare, we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions here about travelling with an infant, including seating options, baggage allowances, strollers, car seats, and other helpful information for your journey. Infants can travel from seven (7) days of age and may travel on the lap of a parent or guardian until their second birthday.

Travelling During Pregnancy
Whether you’re travelling for a special occasion, visiting loved ones, or enjoying one last getaway before your newest family member arrives, we’re delighted to welcome you on board.
Pregnant travellers may travel up to and including the 36th week of pregnancy. If you plan to travel after the 36th week, you’ll need to provide a medical certificate from your doctor confirming how many weeks pregnant you are and that you are fit to fly.
Please bring the original signed and dated certificate with you when you check in for your flight.
If your outbound flight takes place before your 36th week but your return flight falls after the 36th week, a medical certificate will be required for your return journey.
As always, if you have any questions about your travel plans, our team will be happy to help.
