
Compassionate Travel
We understand that sometimes travel is needed during difficult and unexpected circumstances. If you need to travel to be with an immediate family member who is seriously ill or facing a life-threatening medical situation, you may be eligible for our Compassionate Travel fare.
Our Reservations team is here to assist you with care and understanding during this challenging time.
To enquire about eligibility or make a booking, please have the following information available;

Name of the patient,

Your relationship to the patient,

Name, address, and telephone number of the attending physician, hospital, or care facility.

Compassionate travel fares may be available when travelling to be with a family member who:

Is receiving care in an intensive care unit (ICU),
-
Has suffered a heart attack,
-
Is in the final stages of cancer,
-
Has been involved in a serious accident,
-
Has been hospitalized, including admission to a hospice or other care facility upon a physician’s recommendation following a hospital stay.
Eligibility is subject to verification and approval. Our Reservations team will work with you to assess your eligibility and help make travel arrangements.
Bereavement Travel
We understand that making travel arrangements following the loss of a loved one can be difficult. To help during this challenging time, Air North offers Bereavement Fares for travellers who need to travel due to an imminent death or the passing of a family member or close friend.
To enquire about eligibility or make a booking, please have the following information available;

Name of the deceased,

Your relationship to the deceased,

Name, address, and telephone number of the attending physician who completed the death certificate, or the funeral home or memorial service provider handling arrangements.
If you are unable to provide this information before your departure, you may still travel and request a credit review after your trip is complete. In that case, you may be asked to provide:

Travel documents, including boarding passes and ticket receipts,

A copy of the death certificate or a certificate from the funeral director,
Eligibility for Bereavement Fare travel is subject to verification and approval.
Please note that while a Bereavement Fare may not always be the lowest available fare at the time of booking, it offers additional flexibility should your travel plans need to change on short notice.
