Air North, Yukon's Airline Offers Assistance for Passengers Cancelling Travel to Arctic Winter Games 2020
WHITEHORSE, YT – 10 March 2020 – Today Air North, Yukon's Airline announced they will be offering no penalty changes and cancellations and full refunds for passengers affected by the cancellation of the 2020 Arctic Winter Games.
In light of the recent cancellation of the 2020 Arctic Winter Games, Air North, Yukon’s Airline is allowing affected passengers to change or cancel their travel plans without penalty. Customers who have purchased flights with the intention of travelling for the event will be given the option to cancel their bookings without incurring a cancellation fee. Customers are able to receive a full refund or credit to their Air North account. Credits will be issued in the exact amount of the cancelled itinerary.
Passengers that would like to cancel their booking must do so by contacting the call centre at 1-800-661-0407, extension 1.
The company recognizes the decision to cancel the Games was not taken lightly. “We were deeply saddened to hear the news, but our thoughts are with the athletes, organizers, and volunteers who have been working tirelessly to prepare for the event” says Chief Commercial Officer, Benjamin Ryan. “We fully respect the decision to cancel the event and know that the health and safety of all those involved are of the utmost importance. We are working closely with relevant parties to assist in decommissioning,” continues Ryan.
