Compassionate Travel
If you or a loved one needs to make travel arrangements due to a family member in a life-threatening situation, our compassionate travel fare may apply.
To enquire or book, we will need the following information:
- Name of patient
- Relationship to patient
- Name, address and phone number of attending physician or hospital

Eligibility for compassionate travel is limited to:
- Patients in intensive care
- Patients who have suffered from a heart attack or are in the final stages of cancer
- Patients who have been in a serious accident, or
- Have been hospitalized, including admission to hospice or other facility upon the recommendation of a doctor, and which was preceded by a hospital stay
Bereavement Travel
Air North offers bereavement fares to those who are experiencing an imminent death or have had a death in their family.
To enquire or book, we will need the following information:
- Name of deceased
- Relationship of deceased
- Name, address and phone number of the attending physician who filed the death certificate, or of the memorial/funeral home for the deceased family member
If you are not able to provide the information prior to your departure date, you may request a credit file once your travel is completed. You may be asked to provide:
- Travel documents (boarding passes and ticket receipt)
- A copy of the death certificate or Funeral Director's certificate
Eligibility for bereavement travel is limited to family and friends of the person who has passed. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the above restrictions. It's important to note that while our bereavement fare may not be the lowest priced fare at the time of booking, it offers more flexibility for last-minute changes or cancellations.
