Air North, Yukon’s Airline Opens All Seats on Flights Effective 1 June 2021
WHITEHORSE, YT - 26 May 2021 - Effective 1 June 2021, Air North, Yukon’s Airline will be giving passengers the option to book any seat on its flights, including middle seats.
“With the safety of our passengers and community at the forefront of every decision, we have extended our policy of blocking middle seats longer than almost any airline in the industry,” said Benjamin Ryan, Chief Commercial Officer for Air North. “We know that this added peace of mind has not only helped rebuild confidence in air travel but in Air North’s commitment to our passengers. Given that over 77% of eligible Yukoners have their vaccine first dose and 69% have had their second, we now feel confident that the time is right to give passengers the option to book any seat on our aircraft.
As part of its Care First program, Air North has blocked middle seats on their Boeing 737 aircraft since April 2020 to all passengers in order to provide additional spacing unless they were passengers in the same social bubble
Air North will continue to waive change and cancellation fees on bookings made prior to 30 April 2022, giving passengers the most flexibility possible should their plans change.
