UPDATE: Modified In-Flight Meal and Beverage Service Returns on Jet Routes
9 November 2020
Whitehorse, YT - 9 November 2020 - Air North resumes a modified version of their meal service starting today.
Effective immediately, the company will be re-introducing their inflight meals on its jet routes. Passengers on afternoon and evening flights between Whitehorse, Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna will once again enjoy Air North’s famous warm cookie service. Modifications will be made to minimize contact onboard, including serving individually bagged meals.
As always, all meals are freshly prepared by Air North’s Whitehorse-based Flight Kitchen team before each flight. Meal options are dependent on factors such as time of day and passenger loads. In general, passengers flying in the morning will be offered a breakfast platter and a beverage. Passengers flying in the afternoon will be offered the choice between two different types of sandwiches, as well as a beverage and a warm Air North cookie. To make way for necessary sanitization measures, options available onboard will be fewer than in meal service’s past and bar service will remain temporarily suspended. Light snack service on Air North’s ATR routes will also remain temporarily suspended until further notice.
All passengers are required to wear a removable, non-medical mask or face covering that covers their mouth and nose while inside any airport buildings and aircraft. Masks can be removed temporarily to eat or drink. We ask all passengers to please use this permission responsibly and be mindful of any inflight announcements which include further information about the use of masks onboard.
